Alvin was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1993, and to the Singapore Bar in 1995

His main area of practice is in civil and commercial litigation, including alternative dispute resolution.

Prior to joining Aequitas Law LLP, Alvin was the principal litigation partner in a medium-sized law firm.

He has advised and acted for private individuals, SMEs, banks, private and listed corporations, and insurance companies in diverse matters – including credit control and risk management, debt recovery and enforcement, corporate insolvency and bankruptcy, insurance claims and recovery, injunctions to restrain the dissipation of assets, breach of directors’ duties and shareholders’ disputes, employment disputes, real estate and tenancy disputes, as well as matrimonial and family law.

Alvin is an Associate Mediator with the State Courts of Singapore and the Singapore Mediation Centre. He mediates cases at the Primary Dispute Resolution Centre in the State Courts and at the Singapore Mediation Centre.

Alvin is a Teaching Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Legal Education, where he is a tutor and trainer in advocacy, drafting and mediation skills for law graduates sitting for the Bar exams. He is also an Associate Trainer at the Adjunct Training Faculty of the Singapore Mediation Centre.
